2024 - 2025 HEAD COACH
The St. Albert Raiders proudly introduce our Female program's coaching lineup for the 2024-2025 season. We're thrilled to welcome back Sandro Pisani, Jason Germain, and Katresa Shwetz. Additionally, we're excited to announce the newest addition to our female program. Please join us in welcoming Paul de Champlain as the Head Coach for the U13 AA Bolts.
As an association, we recognize the critical role that effective leadership plays in the success and development of our female program. We are incredibly fortunate to have assembled a team of four highly qualified and experienced coaches who bring a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the table. We are committed to providing the best possible environment for female hockey to grow and succeed, and we are excited to see the positive impact the coaches will undoubtedly have on our athletes.
Paul de Champlain - U13 AA Bolts
Paul has been a coach with St. Albert Minor Hockey and the Raiders program for over 10 years.
He has spent five years coaching female hockey and was the Head Coach of the U18 AA Sharks in the 2022-2023 season. Paul has completed Coach 1, Coach 2, Safety and Checking Skills and NCCP Hockey Canada Development 1.
In addition to his coaching experience and training, Paul was a former member of the U18 AAA Raiders program and continued to play junior and senior-level hockey as a young adult.
Paul will collaborate closely with the departing Head Coach of the Bolts to ensure the ongoing success and advancement of the program as it enters its second season.
Sandro Pisani - U18 AAA Slash
Sandro brings with him a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion for the game. As the Head Coach, we are confident in his leadership and ability to prioritize players' development off and on the ice.
Sandro brings over 23 years of coaching experience to his position. He was the Head Coach of the U18 AAA Slash last season and, prior to that, was the Assistant Coach with the Slash for six seasons. Sandro was also the Head Coach of the U18 AAA Raiders for six years and has held multiple leadership positions within the Association over the last 15 years.

Jason Germain - U18 AA Sharks
Jason became an integral part of our program in 2022 as the Sharks' Head Coach and will be here for a third consecutive season.

Professionally, Jason is a Station Captain with the City of Edmonton Fire Department. He is also a former St. Albert Minor Hockey player and played for the St. Albert Raiders as a young adult.

Katresa Shwetz - U15 AA Chargers
Katresa is an experienced hockey coach dedicated to advancing female hockey players. Her goal is to encourage each athlete to develop their skills further while enhancing the individual’s hockey intelligence in an environment that establishes self-confidence.
